YOUR TAGGERS FIRST SESSION IS FREE

rugby taggers progression programme

Rugby Taggers sessions are designed to introduce young children to rugby, underpinning the core fundamentals of rugby through fun and games.

Rugby Taggers in Marden caters for a wide age range offering three age groups on Saturday mornings.

Tiny Taggers: 3-5 years | Junior Taggers: 6-10 years | Tag to Tackle: School years 6, 7, 8 and 9

Children attending the Tiny’s session can progress through all age groups, older children with some/no rugby experience can join the Juniors session at any time and for the next level of rugby, the Tag to Tackle group converts tag skills into full contact rugby skills in a controlled and safe environment.

Rugby Taggers Rugby Club partnerships

Rugby Taggers is proud to work in partnership with local Rugby Clubs. Our ‘Wraparound’ Partnership Programme fills the age gap void for Rugby Clubs so younger children can have an introduction to rugby, while our partnership also ensures that your children, if and when the time is right, can experience a smooth transition when leaving Rugby Taggers to join a new Rugby Club environment via our trusted connections.

sponsors of Rugby Taggers

Rugby Taggers is proud to be sponsored by the following local business. Their support enables our club to continue offering high quality coaching from experienced coaches at competitive prices and provide equipment for our growing community.

In 2022 more Sponsorship Opportunities will become available for companies also interested in becoming involved with Rugby Taggers.

Reviews

”I wanted to say a big Thank you for the two sessions I’ve been to with my step son so far – excellently run and a lot of fun. I’ve been missing my rugby days from uni and it’s great to be able to teach him some listening skills and team work. Looking forward to the next one. You’ve made the transition from rugby winger to stompy parent easier than expected!” – Bryony Martin.

”My son loves coming to Rugby Taggers. All credit to Darren for creating something really special in our village. Giving young kids the opportunity to learn rugby skills in a really fun way. Highly recommend it!” – Suzie Shore.

”Rugby Taggers is brilliant and a great start to our weekend. Darren is an excellent coach, very good at interacting with all of the children and the sessions are great fun whilst learning about teamwork.” – Scott Cooper.

”Molly loves going to Rugby Taggers. Normally after a few weeks of doing an activity see has wanted to give up, but not this! She wants to play professional rugby when she’s grown up!” – Bridget Manser.

”My son attends the 9:15-10:00 session, he really enjoys it and so does daddy!” – Sharon Tobin.

”My son loves it! The coach is great and keeps changing stuff making it interesting for the kids.” – Ben Relle.

”I have tried other rugby based kids clubs and found them to be very commercial. They are normally based in a hall and I personally found that each week we were doing the same thing and didn’t get the personal touch, so my little boy got bored.

Rugby Taggers is outside all year round and much more the real thing… Darren the coach involves all the kids and knows them by name so my little boy feels really involved. What I really like is that Darren changes the sessions up regularly and gives the kids some fairly challenging tasks, which also tests the parents passing skills.

Thoroughly recommend Rugby Taggers as it’s open to all abilities and lets the kids burn off some energy in the fresh air on a Saturday. Good Job Darren.” – Rob Cocks.
